The story tells of a mountain
climber who wanted to climb the highest mountain. He began his adventure after
many years of preparation – since he wanted the glory all for himself, he
decided to climb the mountain alone.
The night fell so heavy in the
mountains and the man could not see very well. All was black, zero visibility,
the moon and the stars covered by the thick cloud. As he was climbing, only few
feet from where he was climbing, only few feet away from the top of the mountain,
he slipped and fell into the air, falling at such great speed. The mountain
climber could only see black spot as he was going down and the terrible
sensation of being sucked by gravity, he kept falling…and those moments of
great fear, all the good and bad episode of his life kept flashing through his
mind like lightening. He was thinking of how close he was to death when all of
a sudden he felt the rope around his waist pulling him hard. His body was
hanging in the air with only the rope holding him. In that still moment, his
gripped with fear he screamed HELP ME GOD!!!
In that moment of horror, a still
voice spoke out of no where
What do you want me to do? – save
me oh God he replied.
Do you really believe that I can
save you asked the voice?
Yes, you can he answered.
Then let go of the rope around
your waist replied the still voice.
At that moment, his brain could
not negotiate with what his ears heard, he held onto the even more tight.
It was told by the rescue team
that his body was found dead and frozen with his hands holding tight to the
rope only 10ft away from the ground.
Lesson: Learn to trust GOD
Come on! cut the ropes, set your sail and let God be God
